JESUS IS LORD (don't run, I'm not preaching. I promise😏)

I think it’s important I say this early on in this journey, and I’d say why. So, let’s let the cat out of the bag already, lol. Are you sure you’re ready to hear this? So,………… I am a Christian! Yes, I am!

DEFINITION; A person who follows the life and teachings of Christ ( I thought for a second about explaining to you who that is but, c’mon you just celebrated Christmas, what did you think you were doing? What was all that about? Santa? Stop it ) At base level this is what Christianity is.

Now, if you read up until this point, congratulations!!🎉 Because somehow saying that in this age and time seems like a crazy thing to do because you’re probably a “bigot” or “brainwashed” or “braindead” or something like that. People will listen to just anything till you bring Christianity into it. I mean, it’s a worldview, it is a way of life for Godsake. Or you think I can just take it off like a winter jacket or something when I’m tired? No, Joe, it doesn’t work like that.

“Why would you even be affiliated with such dimwits?”

“It’s a cult!”

“they’re all homophobes!”

“He thinks he’s better than others!” (No bro. I’m probably worse than you are)

“They eat people!!” (I’m sure no one says that lol, just felt like adding that one)

So basically, I grew up in a traditional Christian home with pastors as parents ( strange story for another day ) and to some this might explain my convictions. However, for some reason, I’m not the type to conform to a theory just because I was told it is correct. Thus, without saying too much about where I’ve been, I’ve done a bit of research and I arrived at this conclusion. I am, as every rational person should be, open to adverse positions, as I believe that with the various truth claims out there, the truth must be able to come out as distinct and pure even when it is thrown in a den of lies. Therefore, I believe Christianity is true to the best of my knowledge until proven otherwise.

I must say, in no way am I attempting to say that I am perfect. All I am saying is whether or not I have made these mistakes I might speak about in the things I write either actively or passively, I will always write from the worldview of Christianity so if it hurts sometimes, I promise you it probably hurt me too, but the truth is the truth innit. I’d always write in love and I promise not to judge anyone.

Again, I’m not tryna preach right now and supposing a day comes when I feel like it’s the right thing to do, I’ll give y’all a heads-up just in case you need to run lol... I hope you don’t though. This, however, is not a religious page and you’re free to share whatever worldview you hold, just don’t disrespect anyone.

The earth according to The Bible is about 6,000 years and the other Abrahamic religions agree.

According to science, the earth is about 4.5 billion years old.

If we’re being honest, how much do we know? we spend at most 120 years here. How much time is that to decode a world that has been in existence ages before your great-grandmother was given as a gift to your great-grandfather or if she was lucky enough maybe she fell in love with him and it was not an arranged marriage lol. The thought of you had not crossed anyone’s mind at that time, I mean, you’re relatively new here and you don’t get to spend a lot of time here to make matters worse. So where’s the wisdom in becoming a problem to one another because of what we believe?

Buddhism posits that it is impossible to know how long the earth has been here, they say the world is constantly being destroyed and recreated, millions of times and every second. Even worse, if this is the case. How do you decode a world that is not even stable? The odds are not in your favour my man.

I said all these to say this, if you think you found truth, be humble with it, if you ever want to share it with someone, let love lead, pride or looking down on anyone because of their beliefs is not a wise option. Force, even worse, don’t do it. I’m sure whoever you pay allegiance to put a brain in your head for a reason.

Just be a good person and don’t be surprised if I say things you disagree with, we might just come from different worldviews and that is okayyy.. I would be excited to hear what you believe and I’ll tell you mine maybe, we don’t need to fight over it, for real sweetheart. Just be a good person.
